Adding alerts to OBS
The secret link from Widgets, a Browser source and a test Alert.
No plugin needed: OBS shows alerts through a Browser source.
- Dashboard → Widgets → Your widgets.
- Copy the alerts widget link.
- In OBS: Sources → + → Browser → paste the link into the URL field.
- Click Test alert in the dashboard — a sample Alert appears in OBS.
Top viewers and goals are separate widgets with their own links on the same page.
The link is secret
- Do not show it on stream, in chat or in the channel description: it reveals your Alerts.
- If the link leaks, reset it in Widgets. The old one stops working at once — paste the new one into OBS.
Nothing shows or no sound
- Check the whole link was pasted and the source is enabled.
- Check the source is not muted in the OBS mixer.
- Send the test from the dashboard, not from OBS.
- An Alert below your minimum will not arrive.
