A custom domain for your page
Your checkout page on your own address: two DNS records and a few minutes of waiting.
Your page can open on your own subdomain, such as donate.mystream.tv. Viewers pay there just as on GoDonateMe.
How to connect
- Dashboard → My page → Custom domain.
- Enter the subdomain and save.
- Add the two records the dashboard shows at your DNS provider:
CNAMEtodomains.godonate.me;TXTfor_godonateme.<your domain>with the valueGoDonateMe-site-verification=….
- Wait: DNS is checked first, then a certificate is issued — usually a few minutes.
Some DNS providers offer a "Connect in one click" button — the records are added for you.
If your DNS is on Cloudflare, turn proxying off for the CNAME: grey cloud, "DNS only". With the orange cloud the domain will not connect.
A subdomain (donate., www.) works best: a root domain via CNAME only works with providers that support CNAME flattening or ALIAS.
What changes
While the domain is live, godonate.me/<username> redirects Viewers to it. Unlink the domain and the redirect goes away at once.
